THE TEXAS TENORS PERFORM AT THE 28TH ANNUAL AMERICAN CINEMATHEQUE AWARDS

The Texas Tenors were proud to be a part of The 28th Annual American Cinematheque Awards held at The Beverly Hilton on October 21, 2014 honoring the incredible film career of fellow Texan Matthew McConaughey. Hollywood’s brightest stars turned out in droves to celebrate the true McConaissance of Matthew McConaughey’s Just Keep Livin’ philosophy of life with movie highlights, inside stories and fond memories of the ‘Dallas Buyers Club’ actor both on and off the set. The evening’s host Jimmy Kimmel kept the room of Hollywood elite filled with laughter as A-List movie stars Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson and Jessica Chastain each took to the stage to share experiences of working with McConaughey followed by montages of his most memorable movie roles.

Jimmy Kimmel introduced the only entertainment act of the night, The Texas Tenors. Dressed in full black tie, The Texas Tenors performed their chilling version of ‘Wild Horses’ followed by the fun and upbeat classic ‘Deep in The Heart of Texas’. The Texas Tenors dedicated their third number ‘Unchained Melody’ to Matthew McConaughey’s beautiful wife Camila. At the end of the evening The 28th American Cinematheque Award was presented to McConaughey by ‘Interstellar’ director Chris Nolan.

The event was a fundraiser for the American Cinematheque, a non-profit exhibition organization that owns, operates and programs the Egyptian Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard and programs the 1940 Aero Theatre in Santa Monica.
