WNDU.COM | South Bend, IN – A musical group from Texas is on a mission to raise money for Hurricane Harvey victims.

One stop on their journey is here in Michiana.

The Texas Tenors will be playing the Mendel Mainstage over at Lake Michigan College Friday to go along with their new album “Rise.”

The Texas Tenors, of course, have a special connection to the state Harvey hit. Just take a look at their name! That’s why all of the proceeds for the digital song “Rise” will be given to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.

The song’s lyrics are mean to inspire hope and encourage victims to move on.

“‘The strength you have inside will move you forward.’ ‘Find the love.’ ‘Life can change in a moment.’ I mean, these are lyrics in the song that are so meaningful, especially now with all of the things going on and all the devastation,” Band Member Marcus Collins said. “Just to be able to pick yourself up and move forward and to know that you have the support of, not only us, but everyone out there who is on your side and supporting you.”

Remember, proceeds will only be going to Harvey relief from the digital download of the individual song, not the whole album.
