KY3.com | Springfield, MO – A well-known vocal group in the Branson area will be making its second appearance on the NBC show America’s Got Talent.
The Texas Tenors took fourth place in the competition in 2009 and have since become staples of the Branson show scene. JC Fisher, Marcus Collins, and John Hagen have performed as The Texas Tenors in over 1500 concerts around the world from China to the UK to all over the U.S.
However, in a few months, fans will be able to watch them on the nationally televised stage, competing in America’s Got Talent: The Champions.
“We are excited. We were on the show in 2009, season four. We came in fourth place. We have been touring ever since. We got the call to come and be a part of America’s Got Talent: The Champions and it’s quite an honor. We are the only vocal group in the US picked, the only act from season four, so it is a great honor,” Collins said.
It’s made up of former competitors of the show and it will also feature acts from other global “Got Talent” franchises, spanning 184 countries.
“It is the top 50 acts in the entire world that they’ve assembled out of millions of acts that have auditioned. We are so honored to be a part of that top 50. We are the only vocal group from the US selected, which is exciting,” Collins said.
“It is the same judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel,” Fisher said.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions debuts on January 7th on NBC. The Texas Tenors plan to return to Branson for the 2019 summer season.
