NewBernSJ.com | New Bern, NC – Tickets remain for the sixth annual New Bern Historical Society fundraising concert at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center.
The headliner for this year’s Feb. 18 concert is The Texas Tenors. According to the historical society, the group is the top vocal group in the history of the TV show “America’s Got Talent.”
Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show are $35, plus tax for general admission. Preferred seating is $55 and the cost is $125 for sponsor seating.
The Tenors won three Emmy Awards for their PBS special, “You Should Dream.”
They are featured at the Starlite Theatre in Branson, Missouri, where TripAdvisor names them the top attraction in the area, according to a historical society release.
Their range includes country, folk, classical and Broadway, with a bit of cowboy charm.
The debuted five years ago on the NBC talent show. Since that time, they have accumulated a long list of awards, accolades and fans.
They have performed more than 1000 concerts worldwide.
“We are thrilled to have The Texas Tenors here in New Bern!” said steering committee chair Kathy Morrison. “Not only are they hugely talented, they are great people. It’s terrific to see the tickets moving like they did for last year’s sold-out concert ‘Under the Streetlamp.’”
The New Bern Historical Society will be donating a block of tickets to the Wounded Warriors program.
