MinotDailyNews.com | Minot,ND – Norsk Høstfest is held annually in the fall in the N.D. State Fair Center on the North Dakota State Fairgrounds in Minot, N.D., USA. The festival was founded in 1978 by the late Chester Reiten and a group of friends who shared his interest in celebrating their Nordic heritage. The festival, now entering into its 40th year, has grown into North America’s largest Scandinavian festival with tens of thousands of people attending from all over the world.
The festival features world-class entertainment, authentic Scandinavian cuisine, Scandinavian culture on display, handcrafted Norsk merchandise, plus a fine dining establishment lead by guest chefs.
On Sept. 26, The Texas Tenors and Tanya Tucker will both perform. The Texas Tenors debuted on America’s Got Talent eight years ago and have since made a long list of awards, accolades, and an enthusiastic fan base for themselves. The Texas Tenors will perform with Tucker to follow. Tucker is one of the most admired and respected female vocalists in the country music genre and has 23 Top 40 albums with a string of 56 Top 40 singles.
Then on Sept. 27, Engelbert Humperdinck will take the stage. With a career spanning almost 50 years, Humperdinck has generated sales in more than 140 records with 64 gold albums and 35 platinum. He has four Grammy nominations, a Golden Globe, and stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Las Vegas Wall of Fame, and the Leicester Walk of Fame. He’s performed for the Queen of England four times, several presidents, and many heads of state. With a unique voice, an endearing sense of humor, and many self-deprecating jokes, Humperdinck has made millions of fans worldwide.
