Chart-topping vocal group The Texas Tenors will return to Dubuque for a “Holidays and Hits” concert at the Five Flags Center on Saturday, December 12. The Texas Tenors have played to sold-out crowds during previous appearances in Dubuque. Their upcoming appearance at Five Flags Center is being produced by Music & More.
The Texas Tenors’ “Holiday & Hits” concert will be certified through Five Flags Center’s VenueShield program. To help ensure physical distancing, only a limited number of tickets will be sold. Signage encouraging social distance will also be posted throughout the venue. Additional steps will also be taken, including frequent disinfection of high traffic areas, use of face coverings by Five Flags staff, and prepackaging of concessions items.
The Texas Tenors formed in 2009 and quickly made a name for themselves, advancing to the Final Four of that year’s season of NBC’s America’s Got Talent. They have since gone on to be the most successful music group among the acts that have appeared on the program. Their two most recent albums, “A Collection of Broadway and American Classics” and “Rise,” both went to #1 spot on Billboard’s US Classical and US Classical Crossover charts. They were the only American group invited to return to America’s Got Talent for its “The Champions” competition last year.
The Texas Tenors have also appeared in a pair of PBS concert specials. The first, 2013’s “You Should Dream,” won a trio of Emmy Awards and was later released as a DVD and Blu-Ray. In total, the group has release eight albums and four recorded concert specials.
The Texas Tenors’ holiday hits have wowed fans in recent years as well. The group release a holiday-specific album, “O Night Divine,” in 2013. Included on the disc were traditional holiday favorites like “White Christmas,” “Mary Did You Know,” and “O Holy Night,” as well as contemporary songs including “No Room at the Inn” and “Believe.” The group has also released a holiday concert video, “Deep in the Heart of Christmas,” which was recorded in Branson.
The Texas Tenors – JC Fisher, Marcus Collins, and John Hagen – are all classically-trained vocalists who have now performed more than 1,400 concerts around the world. They’ve headlined shows in Las Vegas, China, and more than two dozen cities around the United Kingdom. The group has also performed at such events as the White House National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, National Basketball Association games, and the Professional Bull Riding finals.
