John Hagen
John has been described as “astonishing, a superb tenor of deep musicality”. From opera house to concert hall, John has performed in some of the most prestigious venues in this country. He made his Lincoln Center debut in New York City in Teatro Grattacielo’s mounting of Mascagni’s Guglielmo Ratcliff. John has performed a vast array of operatic roles ranging from Alfredo in La Traviata, to the title role of Otello for Cleveland Opera on tour. He is highly regarded for his performances of the Verdi Requiem and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, having performed these works with numerous symphonies across the US. He has received many awards throughout his career including finalist in the New Jersey Opera Association of Verismo Opera competition held at Carnegie Hall, Metropolitan Opera Auditions Regional Finals, and winner of numerous other competitions. In 2021, John’s solo CD of Italian Opera arias entitled “My Passion” debuted at #1 on the Traditional Classical Billboard Chart. He has taught at the University of Northern Iowa, Wartburg College and the University of Nebraska.
Marcus Collins
Marcus was born in a small town and has been a performer his entire life and is honored to be a member of The Texas Tenors for the last 16 years. In 2020, Marcus produced and recorded his first solo album “Brand New Life” which debuted at #12 on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart. Beyond music, he has worked extensively as an actor with appearances in more than 100 episodes of television and 25 films including P.S. In his free time, Marcus enjoys spending time with his family, watching college basketball, going to movies and raising his 2 bulldogs Stella and Joe Joe. After being diagnosed in early 2024 with Congestive Heart Failure due to a Viral Cardiomyopathy, Marcus would like to dedicate this and every performance to heart health awareness and encourages everyone to live life to the fullest, not take a single day for granted and to have regular check ups with your doctor.
JC Fisher
JC has entertained audiences around the world for over 25 years. In high school, he loved singing in church and furthered his singing aspirations at Wichita State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Music. JC performed various opera roles including Rodolfo in La Boheme, Tamino in The Magic Flute, Ernesto in Don Pasquale and even was Miss America’s duet partner at the 1997 Miss Kansas Pageant. The pageant was actually his very first paid singing gig, but turned out to be his best yet for another reason. There, he met his future wife Jennifer and mother of his three children. After college, JC traveled to Lucca, Italy where he sang in the Puccini festival under the direction of acclaimed Italian maestro Lorenzo Malfatti. In an effort to travel the world, and share his talents with an international audience, he began performing as a guest entertainer on cruise ships. This is also how he met his best friend Marcus Collins. When not performing, JC enjoys watching his kids play sports, date nights with his wife and tinkering around on cars. Although JC lived many years in Texas, he now call Kansas City home. Go Chiefs!
